This publication attempts to study the Emergency debates in Parliament during the period between January up to July 1997 in an attempt to explore the attitude of Parliamentarians towards Emergency Laws. It includes summaries of the emergency debates during the relevant period and and analysis of the presentations of the individual members of Parliament. This publication is edited by Lionel Guruge and is published in Sinhala and Tamil.
